Baroona House, Dent Street

Baroona House is an alteration and addition to an existing post-war weatherboard home in the outer suburbs of Newcastle. The design opens and extends the shared living space to the expansive view to the north. Rosewood timber windows frame views, whilst carefully considered eaves shelter a series of outside spaces that are connected to the landscape. The design takes cues from features of the existing dwelling. Curved fascia’s balance with clean horizontal lines.
